Shari Carter is currently employed by the Houston Community College as a Program Director within the Logistics and Global Supply Chain Management department where she has served since January 2023. With thirty years of Department of Defense experience in both government and military acquisition, procurement, logistics, transportation, maintenance and supply chain now culminating three years’ experience in the field of education, as a professor of Logistics Supply Chain to specifically build the workforce industry relationships for leading, designing and developing academic programs for the required advanced skilled talent needs in a/n academic program director role, the majority of Shari Carter’s experience has taken place at the United States Army, the Defense Acquisition University, certified as a Lifecycle Logistics Level, III in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Her master’s from Webster’s University Major in Acquisition and Procurement Management at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Highly qualified, Shari Carter earned her SOLE (The International Society of Logistics) as a Certified Master Logistician serving across the Multi-Functional Logistician Army Military Occupational Skills positions. She is a member of the Association of Supply Chain Management Houston Chapter. Also, a member of the Transportation Association Club. Certified Logistics Technician. A native of Illinois, Shari Carter now lives in Dayton, Texas with her two children. When Shari Carter is not working, she likes to do home projects, garden, and travel to friend and family gatherings.
