Sidney Morris has been actively involved in the Plumbing industry for over 30 years. Born and raised in Canada, he joined the Royal Canadian Navy upon graduation from High School and served 6 years in various roles including: Marine Engineering, Navigation/Shiphandling and Ship’s Team Diver. Upon release from the Navy, Sidney enrolled in the Plumbing Apprenticeship Program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Sidney completed his 4-year apprenticeship and holds a British Columbia Journeyman Plumbing License with Red Seal endorsement.
In 2001, Sidney moved with his wife to Houston, Texas and continued in his Plumbing career. He holds a Texas Master Plumbing License with Med Gas, WSPS and MRFPSS endorsements. Sidney has taught various Journeyman and Apprentice Plumbing courses over the past 10 years and is currently the Training Director of the Houston Area Plumbing Joint Apprenticeship Committee.
Sidney and his wife have six children and one grandchild. As a family, they are active in their Church and kept busy with several activities including Ballet, Baseball and Rugby. Sidney is passionate about training, and the positive impact that it has on the lives of Plumbers in all stages of their careers. Sidney believes that ninety percent of learning happens on jobsites and hopes to empower and equip Plumbers to be the best teachers and ambassadors of our noble trade.
